MEET OUR CLIENT

Christine had lived in her home in Sacramento for sometime. She was a renter that later bought the property as her own, so this house had been a special place for her for a while. With adult children living in San Diego and several other areas, Christine no longer had a need to be in the Sacramento area.

She planned to move for a short stint to Oregon and then later to San Diego to be near her children and closer to several other properties she owned.

So with multiple moves on her radar, we needed to get her home sold quickly for a price that allowed her to make both of these moves work

THE PROBLEM

Our biggest challenge for Christine was the timeline. With a child attending college in Europe, she was going to be leaving town right as the market was hot and needed to wait to put her home on the market once she was back. After returning home, she was ready to sell but unfortunately the market had slowed down quite a bit. The average number of weekly showings for a property in her area had gone from 10 down to just 2 a week.

The market was not as ripe as it had been before so our team went to work to create a strategy that helped her house to stand out and entice buyers during this slower time.

 THE STRATEGY

Our first course of action was to ensure the property was in tip top shape for photos, video AND showings! We wanted to ensure that every time the property was viewed online or in person it stood out with fabulous staging and was impressively clean and bright.

It worked and the showings kept coming in but never the right offer. After about 30 days on market we made small price reductions to entice the best offers to the table and we were finally able to land the right deal with the right terms that fit Christine’s needs.

THE WIN

We were so impressed that even in a slower market we were still able to bring in showing after showing the entire time it was listed. The feedback about the home’s cleanliness and design was overwhelming! What a hit!

Christine did a phenomenal job ensuring the house was always in great shape during this time and adding our good friend, Tracy of OCD Deep Cleaning, Restoration & Staging, was the supercharged secret weapon we needed to attract buyers in a slow market. She made the house shine from the very start and continued to help Christine keep it clean in between appointments. We are so thankful for Christine’s trust in our team and we couldn’t have done it without the help of Tracy and OCD Deep Cleaning, Restoration & Staging.
