What is this program?

It's a forgivable, down payment assistance program that is designed to help people become homeowners. In essence, it's free money. The program offers a $20,000 grant to qualifying first time home buyers. This money is provided as a second loan with 0% interest and is completely forgiven after 5 years. 

What's the catch?

There is no catch, really. You need to be able to qualify to buy a home. There are some income restriction limits. This program is only valid in Sacramento County and West Sacramento. And you must attend a class in order to qualify for free money. Other than those guidelines, there is no "catch". Just an amazing program designed to help people become homeowners.  

How do I know if I qualify?

The following occupations are eligible for $22,500. 

• Teachers – a full-time or retired employee of public school or private schools (pre-kindergarten12th grade)
•  Emergency Medical Technicians – active full-time volunteer or retired employee of a medical emergency service responder
• Law Enforcement officers – active full-time or retired
• Firefighters
• Military
