Discover Downtown Roseville

"Discover and Celebrate the Heart of Roseville." That's the call to action issued by a nonprofit association formed to represent merchants in four main downtown corridor areas: Vernon Street, Historic Old Town, Riverside, and Atlantic Street. And over the past several years, Downtown Roseville's call has been heeded by more and more of her proud residents.

The Downtown Roseville Merchant Association's vision for our city is to be a "welcoming destination where the community and visitors experience history, culture, shopping, dining, and entertainment via the unique venues located in the Heart of Roseville." To that end, its members have revived old traditions and started new ones in the form of parades, special events and more. From original structures built in the 1920's and characterized by many one-of-a-kind small businesses (few chain stores are found downtown), our local merchants have created a true old-fashioned downtown feel.

Some of Downtown Roseville's most popular events include:

Downtown Tuesday Nights – Every Tuesday night from May to July, much of the main downtown drag, Vernon Street, is closed to traffic so that dozens of vendors, live bands, a kid's fun zone, farmer's market, local food trucks, classic hot rods and much more can entertain throngs of Rosevillians and other visitors from neighboring communities. This free, family friendly event typically runs from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m.

3rd Saturday Art Walk – This year-round event gives Rosevillians the chance to experience something new with each art walk. Every third Saturday of the month from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., masses of art and music lovers beat a path that connects the Vernon Street section of downtown with the Historic Old Town section. Along the way are venues featuring local artists, musicians, food and drink to be enjoyed by walkers of all ages.

Food Truck Mania – Presented by the Sacramento region's premier street food promoter, SactoMoFo, Food Truck Mania comes to Vernon and Lincoln streets every second Thursday night to provide Rosevillians with a delicious lineup of local food trucks and family-friendly entertainment. Some of the more popular regular trucks include: Chando's Tacos, Krush Burger, Happy Cow, Fuzion Eatz and Cruzin' Crustacean.
